Graham Cracker Cake

  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 doz. graham crackers (2 c. crumbs)
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Cream Crisco and sugar together.

    Beat yolks of eggs until light; add to this.

    Add milk.

    Roll the crackers fine.

    Mix baking powder with cracker crumbs; add this to other mixture, together with salt and chopped nuts.

    Add beaten whites of eggs. Bake in 2 layers at 375°.

    When cool, spread whipped cream (sweetened) between layers and on top of cake.
