- 24 corn tortillas, 2 days old
- 3 cups (700 ml) oil (peanut or vegetable)
- paper towels to drain
- salt
- chili powder(optional)
Directions

1Cut tortillas into eighths with a sharp knife.

2Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium high heat.

3Fry about a cup of tortilla wedges at a time till crisp.

4This take about 3-5 minutes.

5Remove to paper toweling to drain and sprinkle lightly with salt and chili powder.

6Continue until all tortilla wedges are are fried.

7Excellent with salsa, pico de gallo, or guacamole.
