  • 2-1/4 cups Sifted Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cups Crisco
  • 6 Tablespoons Cold Water

Directions

    Mix flour and salt, cut in part of shortening until fine as meal.

    Cut in the rest until navy bean sized clumps are formed.

    Add water 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough forms a moist ball.

    Knead lightly and roll out. The dough must be very moist and tacky before rolling.

    Bake at 450 degrees until brown, the time will vary depending on the oven and weather so keep an eye on this.
