Grandpas Spanish Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Uncooked Rice (I Use White, But Brown Is Fine.)
  • 8 strips Bacon
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce, 15 Oz
  • 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Directions

    Boil the rice in water until it reaches the desired consistency.

    In the meantime, fry eight strips of bacon (dont forget to cut them in half, just like Ree!

    ).

    When the rice is done cooking, drain and set aside.

    When the bacon is crisp, pour half of the grease out (yes, you can pour it all out, but the finished product wont taste half as good!).

    Add the tomato sauce and cheese to the bacon, let the cheese melt.

    When the cheese has melted, add in the rice, stir.
