- 3 lb. butternut or acorn squash
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 tart apple
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, maple syrup or molasses
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Half squash and scoop out seeds.

3Rub cut surfaces and cavities with oil.

4Put, flesh down, on a baking sheet or bake until tender, 30 to 40 minutes.

5Scoop out flesh from squash.
