Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 cup chopped pecans
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 14 cup butter
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

    Mix first 5 cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

    Pour into a 9/12 greased glass cake pan.

    Mix pecans and brown sugar and sprinkle over top of batter.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Don't overbake.

    While cake is cooling, in heavy saucepan heat all topping ingredients to a rolling boil.

    Boil for 1 minute then pour over the top of cooled cake in cake pan.

    (This will look like a mess, but the cake soaks up the liquid and makes a frosting.
