- 2 cans crabmeat
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. celery tops, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- salt
- pepper
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
Directions

1Melt butter in saucepan.

2Add onion, celery tops and parsley and saute.

3Stir flour into milk.

4Add milk mixture to onion mixture, slowly stirring until thickens.

5Pour over crabmeat seasoned with paprika and Worcestershire sauce.

6Stir together lightly.

7Chill slightly.

8Form into cakes and pat on more bread crumbs.

9Brown on each side in shortening in fry pan until golden brown.
