Granny'S Double-Grain Bread

Ingredients
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 c. white flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water and 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. warm milk
- 1/3 c. honey
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. uncooked oatmeal
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in the warm water and sugar.

2Combine warm milk, honey and vegetable oil in mixer bowl.

3Beat in the flour.

4Add oatmeal, salt and yeast.

5Mix well.

6Add remaining flour mixture. Knead 8 to 10 minutes.

7Place in large bowl.

8Cover with damp towel.

9Let rise until double, approximately 1 1/2 hours.

10Punch dough down.

11Cover and let rest 10 minutes.

12Makes 2 loaves.

13Let rise in pans about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

14Bake in oven at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
