Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 3/4 c. honey
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds
  • 3/4 c. nuts
  • 1 c. raisins

Directions

    Combine the first 7 ingredients and mix well.

    Mix remaining ingredients (except raisins) in a large bowl.

    Pour liquid mixture over dry mixture and mix thoroughly, leaving only a few lumps. Spread on 2 greased baking sheets or large roasting pan (to prevent spills).

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until dry but not browned. Stir frequently and watch closely.

    Can also be baked at lower temperature until dried.

    When dried, add raisins and mix.

    Cool thoroughly.

    Store in jars or plastic bag.

    Yields 9 cups.
