Ingredients

  • 3 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. raw wheat germ or wheat bran
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 c. dried fruit (such as raisins)
  • 1/2 c. sesame seed or shelled sunflower seed
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1/2 c. honey or molasses
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Preheat oven to 275°.

    Combine oats, wheat germ, seeds and cinnamon.

    Mix the oil, honey and vanilla. Pour over oat mixture. Stir to coat evenly and spread in a large baking pan.

    Bake for 60 minutes, stirring evenly every 15 minutes.

    Break up large lumps and add the fruit and nuts.

    Refrigerate.
