  • 1 cup (225 ml) Grapenuts cereal
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups (475 ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 cups (700 ml) sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 4 tsp (20 ml) baking powder

Directions

    Mix the Grapenuts, egg and milk.

    Let stand for one hour to soften the Grapenuts.

    Add sugar and then the sifted dry ingredients.

    Mix well.

    Bake in a greased bread pan in a 375 degree (200 C.) oven for about 45 minutes.
