- 1/4 c. cold water
Directions

1Skim excess fat from broth.

2Add enough water to broth, if necessary, to measure 1 cup.

3Mix flour and cold water until smooth.

4Gradually stir into broth.

5Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until gravy is smooth and thickened.

6Season with salt and pepper.
