  • 1 c. Mazola oil
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp. anise flavoring

Directions

    Beat oil, sugar and eggs for 3 minutes. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to wet ingredients, beating until well mixed. Spread batter into 9 x 13-inch baking pan. This batter is stiff; you may need to lightly wet your hands with cold water and press into pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven about 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Invert onto rack and cool. Slice into thirds. Arrange cookies on cookie sheet and return to oven to bake until golden brown and crisp. Cool on rack.
