- 1 1/2 c. green beans (1-inch pieces)
- 2 medium carrots, cut in 1/4-inch slices
- 1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 4 oz. mushrooms, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat 1-inch water to boiling in medium saucepan.

2Add beans and carrots.

3Return to boiling.

4Reduce heat.

5Simmer, covered, until almost tender, about 12 minutes.

6Drain.

7Cook and stir onion and mushrooms in margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until almost tender, about 5 minutes.

8Reduce heat.

9Stir in beans, carrots and salt.

10Cook, covered over medium heat until tender.
