- 7 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 pound green garlic shoots or ramps, thinly sliced
- 2 cups diced leeks, white and tender green part
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced
- 6 slices toasted baguette, optional
- 2 tablespoons slivered chives
Directions

1In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.

2Add salt and pepper to taste.

3Add green garlic shoots and leeks.

4Simmer 5 minutes.

5Check seasoning and adjust.

7Just before serving, stir in scallions.
