  • 3 bunches green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

    Saute onion in butter until tender. Spoon into pastry shell.

    Combine eggs, cream, salt, and pepper; stir well. Pour over onions. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
