  • 5 to 6 green tomatoes, washed, pared and sliced thin
  • raw pie dough (1 for bottom and 1 for top)
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • margarine

    Line a large pie pan with dough.

    Mix flour and 1/4 cup sugar together; spread over pie dough.

    Add sliced tomatoes.

    Sprinkle with vinegar or lemon juice.

    Sprinkle with 3/4 cup sugar and allspice.

    Dot with butter.

    Cover with top crust and bake at 375° to 400° for about 40 to 45 minutes.
