Ingredients

  • 1 c. grits
  • 5 c. water
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 roll Kraft cheese
  • salt to taste
  • 2 eggs and enough milk to make 1 c.
  • 1 c. crushed corn flakes, Rice Krispies or bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. grated sharp cheese

Directions

    Cook grits in water until done.

    Cut up butter and cheese into hot grits.

    Let stand until melted.

    Stir to mix well.

    Slightly beat 2 eggs together in 1 cup measure.

    Fill cup with milk.

    Add milk and egg mixture to grits.

    Put all in large shallow buttered baking dish.

    Cover with grated sharp cheese and crushed corn flakes, Rice Krispies or bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
