  • 1 medium onion, cut into rings
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 34 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 cups cooked chicken

  • chopped hard-boiled egg (optional)

  • cut up orange (optional)
  • chopped eggplant (optional)
  • chopped apple (optional)
  • chopped tomato (optional)
  • shredded carrot (optional)
  • chopped green pepper (optional)
  • chopped onion (optional)
  • chopped pineapple (optional)

Directions

    Cook and stir green pepper and onion rings in shortening in hot slow cooker.

    Combine tomato paste, and peanut butter, and stir in slow cooker.

    Add broth and seasonings .

    Stir in chicken.

    Cover, and cook on low for 3 hours.
