- 2 grouper steaks (pound each)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. drained crushed pineapple
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 slices bacon
Directions

1Sprinkle steaks with 1 teaspoon salt.

2Combine next 6 ingredients.

3Place one steak in a well-greased baking pan, 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch.

4Place rice mixture on the steak and cover with the other steak.

5Fasten together with toothpicks or skewers.

6Brush top with butter and lay slices of bacon on top.

7Bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 30 to 40 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.

8Serves 6.
