Guaranteed Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 pkg. granulated yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar plus 1/3 c.
- 1 c. evaporated milk, scalded (do not boil)
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 1/2 c. flour (Hecker's)
- 1/3 c. corn oil or butter
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.

2Stir in salt and 1/3 cup sugar; mix well.

3Stir in yeast mixture; add well beaten egg to mixture.

4Mix; add 3 cups of flour, stirring mixture until it is smooth elastic.

5Add corn oil; mix.

6Add remaining 3 cups flour; mix well.

7Cover with wax paper; let rise until dough has doubled.

8Knead dough in remaining flour; roll dough to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.

9Cut to desired shapes; place in greased pan. Cover; let rise until double in size.

10Bake 15 to 20 minutes in preheated oven at 400°.

11Rub butter on top when rolls are light brown.

12Makes about 3 dozen.
