  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk

    Cream sugar, butter and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Beat in vanilla. Combine cake flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Add milk and beat 5 minutes.
