- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Cream sugar, butter and shortening until light and fluffy; add eggs, one at a time.

2Beat well.

3Combine cake flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk.

5Add extracts.

6Beat 5 minutes.

7Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until done.
