  • 4 ham shanks
  • 1 lb. dry kidney, navy or other beans
  • 1/2 lb. dry split peas
  • 4 large onions, sliced
  • garlic
  • Tabasco

Directions

    Crock-pot ham shanks for 24 hours on low.

    Remove shanks, save and chill stock.

    Remove fat from stock.
  4. 4
    To stock in crock-pot add the remaining ingredients and cook for 24 hours on low.

    Add the meat from the shank bones.
