  • 6 slices white bread, cubed
  • 1 lb. ham, cooked and cubed
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
  • 1 small can mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter or oleo, melted

    Cut bread into cubes.

    Toss bread cubes and ham cubes in a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Distribute evenly.

    Sprinkle cheese cubes, green pepper and mushrooms over mixture.

    Beat eggs until foamy; beat in milk, dry mustard and salt.

    Pour evenly over bread mixture.

    Pour melted butter over top.

    Cover tightly with foil and refrigerate overnight.

    Bake in 325° oven for 1 hour. Cut in squares to serve.
