  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen asparagus, cut
  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained
  • 2 c. cooked ham
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 4 pieces toast (triangled)

Directions

    Cook asparagus and drain well.

    Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Put onion in and saute onions with the mushrooms.

    Remove from heat.

    Put ham in skillet.

    Grate cheese and add to skillet. Mix rest of ingredients.

    Add and mix it all very well.

    Add asparagus and mix lightly.

    Line sides of casserole with toast. Cover with mixture.

    Sprinkle with cheese and some remaining bread crumbs.

    Broil 5-inches from heat for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.
