- 4 large carrots, diced
- 4 stalks celery, diced
- 1 small onion
- 4 large potatoes
- 5 c. water
- 2 or 3 c. diced ham
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1In a soup kettle, cook carrots, celery, onion and potatoes in water until tender, about 20 minutes.

2Cook ham, butter, salt and pepper, then add to veggies.

3Blend flour in milk until smooth. Add to soup, stirring constantly until mixture boils.

4Turn heat to low and simmer partly covered.
