Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. grated onion
- 2 c. coarsely ground cooked ham
- 2 tsp. mustard
- 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs (very fine)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Melt butter; blend in flour.

2Add milk all at once.

3Cook and stir until thick and bubbly; cook and stir 1 minute more.

4Remove from heat.

5Add ham, onion and mustard.

6Chill well.

7Shape mixture into 8 to 10 balls.

8Roll in bread crumbs.

9Shape into cone, handling lightly.

10Combine egg and water; dip cone in mixture and roll again in crumbs.

11Fry in deep, hot fat (365°) for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.

12Drain.
