  • 1 (9-inch) pastry shell
  • nutmeg
  • 4 slices crisp bacon
  • 1/4 onion, diced and sauteed
  • 8 slices ham, shredded
  • 8 thin slices Swiss cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 c. light cream, heated

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°. Sprinkle bacon and onion on bottom of crust. Add half of ham, 4 slices of cheese, rest of ham and then cheese. Beat eggs and mustard. Add hot cream; beat. Pour over ham and cheese. Let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes until custard is set.
