- 4 potatoes, sliced thin
- 3 onions, sliced
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 can tomatoes (large can)
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Put layer of potatoes in buttered 3-quart casserole, then layer on onions, seasoning, then hamburg and seasoning.

2Repeat layering until all hamburg is used.

3Finish with hamburg on top. Pour sugar and tomatoes over mixture.

4Cover and cook one hour in 350° oven.

5Remove cover and cook 1/2 hour longer.
