  • lb. hamburger
  • 5 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 2 onions (1 c.)
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1/3 c. barley
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 2 beef cubes
  • 2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp. dry basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper
