- 1 chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 3 large tomatoes or 1 lb. can tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Brown beef in butter and stir in rice.

2Add chopped onion to tomatoes and cook while beef is browning, also salt and sugar. Cover, after putting all together, and simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is tender.

3Add more water.
