- 1 peck ripe tomatoes
- 3 lb. onions, chopped and sauteed
- 2 c. oil
- 1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 1 lb. Uncle Ben's converted rice
Directions

1Cook tomatoes 1 1/2 hours.

2Add onions, chopped and sauteed in oil, red pepper, paprika, sugar and salt.

3Cook rice as directed; let cool 5 minutes.

4Add rice to tomato mixture and cook 20 minutes longer.

5Pack in hot jars and cold pack for 15 minutes.
