Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, quartered
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. steak sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 large onion, quartered
  • 1 pkg. frozen green beans or 1 can
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Directions

    Combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, steak sauce and 1/2 of tomato soup.

    Shape into 16 balls.

    Brown in skillet in shortening; add vegetables, water and salt.

    Pour rest of tomato soup; cover and simmer 1 hour.

    Stir once in awhile. Remove 1/2 cup of the stew sauce and mix with flour; slowly pour into stew until gravy thickens.
