- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. beet juice from can
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 4 to 5 whole cloves
Directions

1Melt butter.

2Add flour and blend.

3Add beet juice.

4Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

5Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and cloves.

6Stir until sugar dissolves.

7Add drained beets and heat thoroughly.
