- 12 small beets
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Wash beets; cook in boiling water until soft.

2Remove skins and cut beets in thin slices, small cubes or fancy shapes.

3Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup vinegar and 2 tablespoons cornstarch together and let boil five minutes.

4Pour over beets and let stand on back of range 1/2 hour.

5Just before serving, add 2 tablespoons butter.
