Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water (from canned beets)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can sliced beets (about 2 c.)

Directions

    Mix sugar and cornstarch; add vinegar and water from beets. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.

    Add beets and simmer 30 minutes.

    When ready to serve, bring to a boil and add butter. Serves 4.
