Ingredients
- 2 lb. round steak, cut in small pieces
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. barbecue sauce
- 8 carrots, halved
- 3 medium onions, quartered
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 c. biscuit mix
Directions

1Brown meat in oil.

2Add 2 cups water, barbecue sauce, carrots, potatoes, onions and salt.

3Cover and simmer 1 hour.

4Gradually add remaining water to flour, stirring until well blended.

5Add flour mixture to hot meat and vegetables, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens.

6Prepare biscuit mix like dumplings. Drop by tablespoons onto hot stew mixture.

7Simmer 10 minutes. Cover; simmer another 15 minutes.

8Serves 6 to 8.
