- 1 medium onion
- 1 stick butter
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (2 lb.) frozen hash browns
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
- dash of salt
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 c. bread crumbs
- 16 oz. sour cream
Directions

1Brown the onion in 1/2 stick butter.

2In a large bowl, mix potatoes, soups, cheese, sour cream, salt and onion.

3Put in a 3-quart baking dish.

4Melt 1/2 stick butter.

5Mix with bread crumbs and sprinkle on top of potatoes.

6Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
