  • 1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter/margarine, melted
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • garlic salt or herbs to taste
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 2 c. cornflake crumbs

Directions

    Thaw potatoes until workable.

    Mix all ingredients except 3/4 of the butter.

    Pour into 13 x 9-inch pan. Top with crumbs. Drizzle with remaining butter.

    Bake at 325° (about 1 hour) until golden and bubbly.
