- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Pineapple Filling (recipe follows)
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until well mixed.

2Add coconut, flour and salt; mix with fork until crumbly.

3Press half of crumb mixture into greased 9-inch square pan.

4Spread Pineapple Filling evenly over crumb mixture.

5Cover with remaining crumb mixture and gently press down.

6Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

7Cut into 1 1/2 x 1-inch bars.

8Yields 4 1/2 dozen.
