Ingredients

  • 2 lb. boneless beef chuck, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 (20 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple chunks
  • 1 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 bananas, cut in chunks
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 c. toasted coconut
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. fat (Crisco)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen cut green beans, cooked and drained
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic

Directions

    In Dutch oven or heavy kettle, brown beef in fat.

    Add onion, salt, garlic and ginger. Drain pineapple and reserve syrup. Add enough water to syrup to make 1 1/2 cups. Add 1/2 cup to meat and bring to a boil.

    Cover and simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender.
