  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. pineapple juice, drained from pineapple chunks
  • 1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 lb. smoked ham, cubed
  • 1/2 c. thinly sliced onions
  • 1 c. thin green pepper strips

    Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, vinegar, pineapple juice

    and soy sauce in a saucepan.

    Cook until mixture is clear and slightly thickened, stirring constantly.

    Place ham in a casserole; add onion slices, green peppers and pineapple. Pour sauce over and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
