Hawaiian Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 can sour pitted cherries
  • 1 small pkg. orange jello
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3 1/2 oz. frozen coconut
  • 1 small pkg. unflavored gelatin
  • 5 or 6 bananas, sliced
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 2 (9-inch) pie shells, baked

Directions

    Mix pineapple, sugar and flour together.

    Cook for 2 minutes. Stir while cooking.

    Mix unflavored gelatin, orange jello and 1/4 cup water into hot pineapple mixture.

    Add nuts, coconut, cherries and bananas; mix well.

    Put into baked 9-inch pie shells; let congeal.

    Put Cool Whip over top before serving.

    Makes 2 pies.
