Ingredients
- 4 lb. spareribs, cut into 1 1/2-inch strips
- 3/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. pineapple juice
- 2 green peppers, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 can pineapple chunks
Directions

1Brown ribs in heavy frypan or Dutch oven.

2Combine cornstarch, molasses and soy sauce to make a paste.

3Spread paste on both sides of each piece of ribs.

4Rebrown quickly in hot fat.

5Combine sugar, vinegar, water and pineapple juice; heat until sugar dissolves.

6Pour over ribs.

7Cover; cook 25 to 30 minutes.

8Add pineapple chunks and green pepper cubes; re-cover and simmer 5 minutes longer.

9Makes eight servings.
