Hazel'S Bread Pudding

  • 4 slices bread, lightly buttered and cubed
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • raisins, as many as you prefer or none

    Place bread in baking dish.

    Beat eggs, milk, sugar and salt together.

    Pour over bread.

    Add vanilla and mix in raisins. Place dish in a pan of hot water.

    350° for 40 minutes. Center of pudding should be firm.

    Insert knife in middle, knife should come out clean, if not, cook longer.
