Hazelnut Cinnamon Coffee Cake

  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

    Spread the nuts on a cookie sheet and toast in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes as the oven preheats.

    Coat a 10-inch tube pan with nonstick spray and dust with flour.
