Hearty Vegetable Soup

- 4 stalks chopped celery
- 4 Tbsp. barley
- 4 Tbsp. lentils
- 4 Tbsp. split peas
- 1 Tbsp. oleo
- 2 medium chopped onions
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 6 medium carrots
- 3 qt. water
Directions

1Add water, dried and fresh vegetables in a 3 or 4-quart pot and add tomato sauce, bouillon cubes and oleo.

2Bring to a boil, then let simmer (stirring occasionally) for about 2 1/2 hours, until vegetables are tender.

3Simmer very slowly.

4Can also add cooked hamburg or beef or any leftover vegetables.
