- 2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. parsley
- 1/2 tsp. dill
- 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
Directions

1Stir together thoroughly all of the dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Make a well in center; add milk all at once.

4Stir just until dough clings together.

5Knead gently on lightly floured surface.

6Roll out. Dip 2 1/2 inch biscuit-cutter in flour.

7Cut dough straight down. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.
