Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. shortening
- 2 tbsp. butter
- About 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 egg white, beaten to loose froth
- 1 c. whole lowfat milk
- 1-2 tbsp. minced chives or possibly rosemary
Directions

1Heat shortening and butter together.

2Cold.

3Sift 2 c. flour, baking pwdr and sugar in bowl; make well in flour, and pour in melted ingredients; stir to combine, then stir in egg white.

4Add in lowfat milk and beat vigorously to smooth out lumps.

5Add in herbs.

6Gradually add in sufficient flour to make a stiff dough.

7Form into ball and knead 10 min on flour surface.

8Divide equally and wrap in wax paper and let rest at room temperature 20 min.

9Roll out on floured surface as thin as possible, cut with pizza cutter.

10Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

11Sprinkle with salt if you like.

12Prick with fork a few times.

13Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min till brown.
